Email between Hatch, Luk, Bruggeman and Bock

Description: Emails regarding follow-up to meetings held at Heller Ehrman’s offices on Tuesday, October 7th among Seamus Hatch (Barra Partners), Marcia Bruggeman (aka Marcia Hatch, Marsha Bruggeman, Marsha Hatch) of Heller Ehrman’s Venture Law Group Menlo Park (now with Gunderson Dettmer), Simon Luk (Heller Ehrman now with Winston & Strawn in Hong Kong) and Michael D. Bock (Barra Partners now with Aran Strategic Finance) regarding Heller Ehrman’s provision of legal services to Barra Partners.

Observations: Jon Goodwin, Barra Partner’s founder, was not cc’d on any of these emails nor was he invited to the meeting or even aware the meeting was taking place. According to Hatch, he briefed Bock on the meeting but neither he or Bock briefed Goodwin. This was because Goodwin did not want Barra Partners to have anything to do with either Marcia Bruggeman or Heller Ehrman.

Protostar was referred to Jon Goodwin and Barra Partners by Jon Monroe of Jon Monroe Consulting. Seamus Hatch referred Protostar as a prospective client to Simon Luk of Heller Ehrman. Hatch had no right to do this without first asking Goodwin’s permission which Goodwin would not have granted.

The email from Marcia Bruggeman to Seamus Hatch is cheeky. She’d been dating Hatch for several months (even had sex with him in the Executive Conference Facilities at the Ritz). Hatch certianly had her contact information so why did she attach her vCard?
